Building on the principles outlined in the FIA Make Cars Green declaration, unanimously adopted by the FIA’s General Assembly, Make Cars Green outlines how policy makers, industry and consumers can all play a constructive role in the future.
Make Cars Green brings together all aspects of the FIA’s work from encouraging consumers to go green, to representing our members’ ecological concerns towards government and manufacturers, and the introduction of environmental initiatives into motor sport.
Make Cars Green aims to encourage radical rethink in the way cars are considered in society by being at the forefront of encouraging considerate and ecologically sound mobility.
As part of its own commitments and responsibilities as the representative of the mobile consumer, on World Environment Day 2008, the FIA launched a leaflet outlining the FIA’s 10 points for greener motoring which gives motorists 10 easy steps to reduce their impact on the environment. The leaflet is being distributed throughout the world through the FIA’s network of member clubs.
